The Problem
Email-based approval loses version context
When proofs travel as attachments, feedback is scattered and production cannot be sure which file was approved.
Challenge: Screenshots strip away design data and product context.
How Printzoe helps: Reviewers open the design itself through a shareable link — not a flattened image.
Challenge: Multiple revisions create version confusion.
How Printzoe helps: Each revision becomes its own version, and approval is recorded against the specific proof reviewed.
Challenge: Artwork checks happen too late in the process.
How Printzoe helps: The Designer flags print-area clipping and text overflow during editing. Dedicated preflight workflows extend those checks after approval.
Challenge: There is no clear record of who approved what.
How Printzoe helps: Status history and approval records are designed to stay on the review as decisions are made.

How validation works
What Printzoe checks — and what it does not guarantee
Printzoe helps detect and flag artwork issues. It supports validation workflows but does not guarantee print quality or replace professional artwork review.
- 01
What gets checked automatically
Today, the Designer clips content to Print Areas and warns on text overflow. Additional preflight checks — resolution, bleed, color mode and fonts — are in development.
- 02
What requires human review
Colour appearance, brand compliance, creative judgement and production method suitability still need experienced reviewers. Printzoe supports those decisions with context, not replacements.
- 03
How issues are communicated
Check results are designed to classify issues by severity and describe what needs attention. Reviewers and customers see warnings while editing or during dedicated preflight review.
- 04
How approvals are recorded
Approval is intended to apply to one specific design version, with status history showing who decided and when.
- 05
How production teams receive the final file
Production receives the approved version with its product context and check results attached to the connected record — not a detached attachment from an inbox.

Issues flagged earlier
Designer clipping and overflow checks help detect problems during editing.
A traceable audit trail
Status history supports accountability without relying on email threads.
Integrations
Approval in your broader workflow
Artwork approval connects to customization upstream and production downstream.
Online Designer
Designs originate with product context, Print Areas and validation during editing.
Artwork Preflight
Extended checks against product-aware rules after approval.
Workflow Automation

Questions
Artwork approval questions
Email attachments lose design data and product context. Printzoe brings reviewers to the design itself through a shareable link, records feedback on the review and ties approval to a specific version. Status history replaces scattered email threads.
Guest review through secure links is part of the design sharing module, currently in development. Your implementation defines access rules, link expiry and who can approve.
Both are supported in the intended workflow. Designer checks run during editing. Dedicated preflight against the approved version happens after customer sign-off. Your workflow configuration determines the sequence.
Bleed and safe-zone checks are in development as part of the preflight module. Measured safe-zone and bleed guides in the Designer are also planned. Print Area clipping is available today.
Missing-font detection is in development. The Designer uses configured font catalogs today, but dedicated font validation checks are not yet available.
No. Printzoe helps detect and flag issues that commonly cause production problems. Final print quality depends on artwork preparation, production methods and materials. Human review remains essential.
Yes. Design review workflows support internal review before a proof is sent to the customer. Internal notes allow teams to discuss a design without exposing comments to the customer.
